Wk ending 6.5.16

The sun had it's hat on this week which meant we could get outside every day. Reception even did 'sunshine maths' on the field it was that warm outside.

A big well done this week to Madeleine for excellent reading, Percy for super phonics, Darah for excellent story writing and Seth for beautiful handwriting. 

This week year 1 continued to learn the story of Whistleless. You can watch the story here https://vimeo.com/98919897 In maths they were learning to count in 2's, 5's and 10's. Please can everyone practice counting in 2's to 20. We used this knowledge to solve number patterns and sequences.

Reception used number lines to count on and work out the answers to addition problems. They also followed their superhero cape designs to make their own superhero capes. Lots of hard work and new sewing skills were needed to make them look so wonderful.

This week we have got 2 art days to look forward too.
