Hello and here we are after our 3rd week of the final term. Summer is approaching far to quickly!
This week the year 1 children have been working on writing their Goldilocks stories. They have begun to think about how they can adapt it and make it their own. I can't wait to read them when they are finished. In maths the children have been learning all about weight. They have learnt about how to weigh objects using balance scales and have begun recording different objects weights using the words heavier and lighter.
Reception have been learning all about the fire service. They watched a video all about the fire service. This then gave the children a super idea. They built an amazing fire station with a fire engine with a real hose on the back. They all made a fire officer badge and wore it as they gave me and Mrs Mansfield a 'tour' of the station. Later on in the week they made a book all about the fire service which they have laminated so that 'it lasts forever'. Feel free to have a read of it.
This week we celebrated all of the reception children for their work on their fire station. We also celebrated Darah and Xander for super story openers in English. The previous week we celebrated Sophie and Nicole for their excellent use of language when writing our class spine poem.
I have left the I-pad at work this weekend so check back later in the week to view this weeks photogrpahs.
Hope you have all had a super weekend,
Miss Keegan
