Roald Dahl Day!
Date: 17th Sep 2016 @ 6:37pm
On Tuesday, we celebrated 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl and we had lots of amazing costumes! We had a wonderful day which began with a parade in the hall. All of the pupils in the whole school got to show off their costumes.
In Class 3, we have been reading Fantastic Mr Fox and basing our English work around the book. On Roald Dahl Day, we wrote letters from Mr Fox to his cousin explaining what had been going on and how the horrible farmers had shot off his tail - ouch! The children produced some brilliant writing; they spent time over the rest of the week re-drafting their work. The final drafts will take pride of place on the washing line in our class room :)
Whilst we are remembering Roald Dahl, here is my favourite word from BFG for you to have a giggle at. What do you think it might mean?
