Wk ending 18.11.16

Date: 20th Nov 2016 @ 9:42pm

We had a very busy week in class 1 this week with our trip to the theatre and our 'dress down' day for children in need. However, we still managed to squeeze in lots of fabulous learning. This week we all read a book called 'The Beach'. It was a series of postcards written by a family who were at the beach in Australia. This week we will be writing our own postcards. In English the Year 1 children have written some fantastic animal poems. We will be publishing them this week. In Maths, Year 1 practiced counting in 5's. Please practice this at home as much as possible. Reception have been working on their number formation and they have written group poems about an octopus and a shark. On Children in Need day we learnt a special Scottish dance for Pudsey bear!

This week we celebrated Archie for trying new things and Tilly for excellent problem solving in maths.

I am looking forward to another fantastic week.
