Week ending 23.9.16

Date: 25th Sep 2016 @ 3:39pm

A big well done to everyone on how well they have settled into school. It feels like we have been back ages and the children are all working incredibly hard to show us what they can do.

This week we have been working really hard to learn the story 'Charlie's walk'. The children have been fabulous story tellers. We hope you liked looking at their videos! It would be great if you got them to orally tell you the story of Charlie's walk. This week in maths Year 1 have been working hard to learn their numbers to 100. We will continue this next week. We will also be reinforcing our knowledge of counting in 10's. In reception we are been practicing counting to 10 and beyond. We also began finding 1 more and 1 less than a number. The reception children also made tiger cakes for the whole class. They looked super yummy.

This week we celebrated Archie for his amazing work on recognising sounds in phonics and Mollie for helping others with their learning as well as working super hard herself. Well done to both of them.

I am looking forward to another amazing week next week with our special European Day of Languages fun.
